Gender equality, academic freedom and the conditions for higher education teaching personnel are some of the political focus areas of DM.
DM works for equal pay between men and women and men´s right to paternity leave. We develop tools to negotiate equal pay and improve gender equality on the labour market by lobbying the parliamentarians and engaging in public debate.

Academic freedom and the conditions for higher education teaching personnel
The academic freedom and the freedom of expression for academic staff is not well protected in Denmark, compared to other countries. DM demands that Parliament changes university law.
DM works to limit the number of academic staff on short-term contracts as they do not have the same rights as full-time staff. Women are overrepresented in this group.
DM works to get more women in positions as associated professors and professors. Women are highly under-represented in these positions.
